Shinken-Ryu is not a style of Aikido, but rather a comprehensive martial arts/esoteric system that incorporates multiple disciplines — including Aikido — within its curriculum. It represents a broader framework that integrates traditional and modern approaches to self-defense, philosophy, meditation, religion, and personal development.
It should also be noted that HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor is a recognized master of traditional Aikido, with formal certifications and international recognition independent of his creation and teaching of the Shinken-Ryu system. He continues to devote his life to the teaching of Traditional Aikido alongside his other endeavors.
